Yes, yes, a thousand times, yes. Consider this commissioned. The 2018 A Star is Born was my favourite film this year (and indeed, I prefer it to previous versions, which is really saying something). It absolutely should have won Best Picture and Best Director. I ranted about this at great length at the time. Please go for it. Don't feel you have to compare it to Roma, as I think that's a separate anecdote (though I'd love to hear more detail on that another time). :)
