You're right. This depressed me at quite a deep level, not just because of the Harry Potter films (I think the novels are far better than the films) but because of the many other great contributions these people made to cinema. And also because we now live in a depressingly different era. Time machine please.

I will love JK Rowling forever for the Harry Potter series. When I discovered the books with my wife (we'd just got married), we had what felt like a second childhood together. :)
